5 Ways To Wear Vintage On The Beach

1. The Baywatch Costume
It's certainly a statement. Low cut, with a lot of thigh on show, 1980s swimming costumes were all about the Pamela look. Get yours in a funky print to amp up your tan.

2. The Retro Shades
A must for the beach, the look of the moment revolves around oval shaped, plastic rimmed glasses in an array of pastel colours. Go for white ones if you're feeling brave, or opt for a pale orange or nude for a more understated vintage chic.

3. The 50s Two Piece
If the Baywatch costume isn't your cup of tea, then embrace the 50s bikini: complete with comfy as anything short-style bottoms and a wrap top. Extra points for dainty floral prints!

4. Cossie + Shorts
A tried and tested fashion formula, wearing a printed swimming costume under some high waisted vintage denim shorts is the ideal look to take you from beach to bar. Throw a duster jacket or kimono top over it for cool evenings.

5. Carry On With The Sarong
Grab wide legged culottes, an oversized scarf or a toweling wrap dress to create a beachy sarong. Natural fibres like cotton and linen are ideal, or if you want to feel a bit induglent, use an oversized silk scarf to wrap around your hips.
